A Whisper from my soul
All things that humans do are all charged to their faults. God made our mind to control anything and made our heart to balance everything. But what really lies from that existence depends on one's self. What you do in your life depends on your strength and courage. One beginning, different plot, one end; that's the real story of life.

I have been fortunate enough to embark on numerous journeys in recent years, and one particular destination that captured my heart was Bohol. I will share my adventures in Bohol in another post, as there is so much to tell.

My trip to Ilocos was a part of my birthday celebration, and I was accompanied by my closest friends. Despite not considering myself a travel enthusiast, there is something about traveling that brings me an indescribable joy. Even though I despise long journeys, once I reach my destination, all the fatigue from the trip vanishes. That's one of the things I appreciate about traveling—the peace of mind it brings.

For me, traveling provides escapism, distraction, and relief—rewards that are truly invaluable. We all seek escapism from time to time, don't we? We yearn to momentarily forget about our problems, and that's precisely what I experience when I travel.

Upon our arrival in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, our first stop was St. Paul's Metropolitan Cathedral, where I expressed my gratitude to God for our safe journey. For breakfast, we indulged in one of the delicacies of the Ilocanos—the sinanglao. It is reminiscent of sinigang, but with beef innards and the distinct flavor of kamias.

Another aspect of Ilocos that captivated me was its beaches. Although Zambales, where I grew up, also boasts a coastal region, I must admit that the beaches in Ilocos surpassed those of my hometown. The waves were gentle, and the sands were silky and fine.

As for my next travel destination, I am contemplating where to go this summer.

Day one. Last Friday, November 13, I had the privilege of celebrating my birthday with a small community in the beautiful province of Zambales. There are several individuals I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to.

First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest thanks to God for blessing me with another year of life and for the multitude of experiences I had throughout the past year. It is through these experiences that I have grown and learned valuable lessons.

To my remarkable Mom, I am forever grateful for her unwavering support and love. Her presence in my life has been a constant source of strength and inspiration, and I cherish every step of the journey we take together.

A special mention goes to my incredible friends, particularly Anne, who went above and beyond to make this birthday celebration a reality. Their efforts and dedication in organizing the event touched my heart deeply, and I am truly fortunate to have such amazing individuals in my life.

Last but certainly not least, I want to acknowledge and thank my dedicated officemates, who have always been there to support me. Their encouragement and camaraderie have played an essential role in shaping the person I am today.

To each of these remarkable individuals, I am filled with immense gratitude. Their presence in my life has enriched my experiences and made my birthday celebration an unforgettable one.
